HMRC tax year overviews for LTD company

I am going through the process of a mortgage application and the lender is not happy with just the SA 302s for the 3 years accounts required, they are also asking for tax year overviews.

This was not a problem with my personal tax year overviews (sole trader years) as my accountant simply printed them off line.

However the latest two years I have traded as a ltd company and finding it very hard to obtain tax year overviews for these years.

Tried researching but absolutely nothing comes up for ltd companies and I have contacted the HMRC but no luck! My accountant is also struggling!

If anybody could shed some light it would be a great help as my lender won't give us an offer until I have them.
Cheers Thomas

You are probably applying to Halifax or Santander/Abbey? How you trade should not make any difference, and if you submitted a tax return and paid your tax, an Overview form should be available.

You are barking up the wrong tree Thomas. The tax summaries request are for you not the business.

The Lender is trying to establish you have no outstanding tax liability for 2012/2012 2012/2013 2013/2014

You ask HMRC to also provide the tax summaries when you request the SA302s.

  • Yes it is the Halifax. I have submitted my accounts on time and as the SA302s show everything is correct.

My agent has been able to print off four years tax year overviews but the latest two years April 2014 and April 2015 just show 0

That made me think was my tax paid as a company rather than personal

Let me know if you want to see an example of what the Lenders are looking for.

  • I have reviewed all the forms I have and compared the SA 302 to the tax year overview and it is correct turns out it is the lender not understanding what I have submitted. Thanks to everyone for the advice. Great survi

Thomas, I had to laugh. The lender knows exactly want they want, and you have simply twigged it is really quite simple to fulfill their request.
