Having seen a mortgage advisor last week, he came up with a mortgage company called Mortgage 1 Ltd .He said this would be the best company to deal with, as we need a self cert mortgage and our credit history is only fair. .We are happy with the interest rate and the fees, that are to be charged, but we are a bit worried about leading money of a company we have not heard of.has anyone had any dealings with this company good or bad

Yup, Mortgages 1 is the funding vehicle for Mortgages PLC, who are owned by Merrill Lynch. Obviously they are a backed by a large reputable company. If the rate is the best one then go for it, though only if you are not facing tight deadlines as they are not the quickest.0
