Interview in the morning

So my or telephone interview is in the morning.

Anything I should do to prepare?

I've got my soa, but not much evidence to back it up. The reason being I gambled a lot of money pre seeking help. In that time we lived far below what is reasonable.

Also my soa was filled out as my income will be when my student loan kicks in in October, until then my income is 0 how will I explain this?

Thanks in advance

Just explain it as it is, the OR isn't there to trip you up or anything, just be honest.
I think you should have filled in your SOA as it is now. You can send in a revised one in October and re negotiate. This can be done as often as it needs.

Make sure you allow undisturbed time. Have a pen & paper handy and a drink. Don't waffle if there are silences, the OR will need to make notes.
I'm sure you will be fine!

  • Good Luck Stundent, I can only say what everyone else has and that is to be completely honest, it is the only way and you will be alright and survive all this. :)

It's relatively easy and can't compare to the nerves and fear beforehand. :grouphug:

    All done!

Took just under 1 hour to complete.
We went through my gambling, I said it was very much the reason for my bankruptcy. No judgement at all.she seemed a little perturbed I had no paperwork or account numbers, said it will be fine.
There is the possibility of a further interview to get more details regarding the gambling.

    Ipa,

She said that as I was not working she would not be assessing surplus income but that if I did start working to let her know. She didn't question any of amounts I put, my partners contribution or why I put benefits as my partners income. She simply said that my student finance was intended to fund studies, and would not be assessed at this time.

Does that mean I definently done? It feels that way, they can't change there minds now can they?

Anyways relatively painless, especially if I get no Ipa!

Well done, that's great. They won't look too closely at your outgoings if they have discounted your income & likewise for your partner's contributions.

Onwards & upwards now. Relax & get on with life!
