Funnily enough, I threw away my course notes after Poly, 30 years ago, and now wish I'd kept them. I was wanting to work out the strength of a timber beam, and couldn't remember how.

Yes, my house is full of junk, but I love my junk. :)

The way you are feeling (and I think, as others have said, that it's significant that it's the uncompleted course) I would continue to store the stuff for a bit, but contain and tidy it. Blank and scrappy bits of paper, old ring binders etc., could be discarded now. Put what you still don't want to throw out in a storage box of some sort, label it, never open it again, and discard when you feel that you can. For now, move on with the other decluttering. Do something you find easier
One tip I liked was to pretend that you are emigrating, and only really valued things will fit in your shipping container. Don't go as far as selling all your furniture and electricals, though.

Ah, but for that kind of thing, there's google! :rotfl:

I had to work out some complicated % the other day - I had some figures which showed the gross and the net, and others which only showed the net, and I needed to know what the gross would have been. Could not do it until I googled.

When i moved out of home - there were a few things i did not need but could not get rid of (my fist doll my uncle has sent over from Germany when he heard of my birth, the clothes for said doll knitted and made by both grandmothers, books given as presents (that have been written from my grandparents) that i have no interest in reading again and a few buts and bobs that have sentimental value but no ascetic value. My mum found me in tears packing as i just need or want this stuff but could not get rid of it as it was a link to those no longer with me. My mum was great and bought a plastic storage box with a lid and as i was moving into a small room in a shared house let me keep them in the bottom a wardrobe in my old room. since buying my own home i have the storage box in the spare room cupboard - i don't feel the need to look through it but it is always there if i need to feel close to my grandparents - i am happy knowing it is still here and it does not take a lot of space.
Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"
