Affordable dentistry

Hi MSE. Can anyone recommend a good dentist? I've been quoted £450 for a tooth implant and £120 for each filling. This is not something I can easily afford right now. Is there a cheaper option?

Far from an expert, but that sounds good/cheap for an implant from what I've heardIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0

That is an incredibly cheap implant! Are you sure that's what it is you've been quoted for?
The places I work with charge between £1800 and £2500 for single units depending on difficulty.
If it is an implant - they don't come any more affordable than that!! But I would ask serious questions as to just how good it is, and how good the surgeon placing it is.
The filling prices sound pretty similar to what I charge though - which makes me wonder all the more as to whether that implant price is right. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0
