Been referred by a stranger on Topcashback?

When I went to login on Topcashback I noticed the message, which I thought was odd not because I've never heard of 'jordn', but that I wasn't logged in. How would the website know who I was? I realize I'm not going to lose anything by being referred, but I don't want anyone to benefit from my account without my permission. Also, some other TCB members who choose to be logged in automatically may find they have no choice in the matter!

Referrals only work if you use the link to sign up - if you've already got an account and are just logging in, I don't think anything will happen?0
