Hi can anyone help me with the recipe to make a summer fruits frescato that they sell at Costa Coffee? Any similar recipe would be great, I've searched loads of websites but can't seem to find any info.
Many thanks

Hello jenpoptab
I'll move your thread so that the food experts in the 'Old Style' board can help you.;)
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Is a frescato like an iced smoothie? If so then freeze your strawberries, raspberries, sliced bannana etc before whizzing them with milk.
Alternatively, make a smoothie (ie a milkshake but with lots of fruit with your fullfat/semi skimmed/skimmed/soya/ milk and/or yoghurt) and add ice cubes to taste, whizz again and serve.0 -
When I used to work at Starbucks, the frappucino was made from a concentrated fruit puree base (about 1/3 cup) whizzed in the blender with 2/3 cup ice until it's slushy. You can either use a readymade puree (http://www.funkin.co.uk/pureeHome.php - I've seen this in larger Tescos) or make one by blending your choice of berry fruits with a cup of water, juice of 1/2 lemon and sugar (to taste). It's probably a good idea to check that your blender can crush ice before you try and make one though!2015 comp wins - £370.25
