BR a few weeks ago. Received a letter today and a cheque for £145 due to a tax refund from last year pre my bankruptcy date.
I'm 99.9% sure the answer as to whether I keep this is no.
Does the OR get this?

Probably - declare it to the OR and see what happens - you don't happen to need something really basic at the moment like replacing a broken washing machine or anything do you....? if so, just ask - the worst the OR can say is no.0

I had something similar from the Rates collection agency (N.I version of council tax)
Our rates account was in credit £147 from the rates year prior to BR. It took the OR office all of 30 seconds to tell me to forward them the cheque.
