kboss - thanks, I'm not sure if we're doing something wrong, but whenever we have anything that we've frozen previously, never tastes as nice as when it was fresh. Will try to start planning meals though at the moment it's just 'what are we having tonight?' Also, as above, I've just seen the Flylady thread which looks good.

We don't freeze them, if that helps. Cooked chicken can't really be kept in the fridge for more than 2-3 days but we make things like :

Passata (tomato sauce) with paprika & chilli stir fry veg, chorizo & tinned butter beans

Butternut squash curry (butternut squash, mange tout, peppers, chickpeas, garam masala, cumin, cloves, ginger, garlic, coriander, nutmeg, cardamom pods & a bay leaf with either a tin of tomatoes or a tub of creme fraiche)

Dan Dan noodles (mince, garlic, Szechuan pepper, ginger, pak choy, honey, chicken stock, noodles - fry the mince with the pak choy, spices and honey and boil the noodles in chicken stock. Drain noodles & mix with the mince mix.)

Easy chicken pie (diced chicken breast, diced onion, peas, diced carrot, sweetcorn & a tin of condensed chicken or mushroom soup. Fry the chicken & veg until chicken is cooked, mix in the soup and put in the oven topped with ready-made shortcrust or puff pastry)

The red meat & veg dishes will keep for 4-5 days in your fridge. Anything you make with spices or gravy will always taste better after a day or two as the flavours marinade :-D
