13.8.07 what small dfw/mse thing will you do or have you done today?

Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:

Welcome to a new week!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

So, today I will:
  • check online banking and update spreadsheet
  • send DS to cinema "kids club" to see a film for £1 with a friend
  • Do a mystery shop on my way to Physio
  • Bank some bagged up coins and pay off my egg card
  • not use the car for unnecessary journies
  • make a storecupboard dinner
  • not increase my debt in any way
  • be positive :D
Have a good day everyone xx

Morning Hypno, I hope you're enjoying your holiday and that the weather in the East of the country is as lovely as it is here.

I was hoping to tell you that I'd finally managed to list something on e-bay. But it just hasn't appeared. On Friday I listed it all, I reviewed it, and I submitted it, but it hasn't appeared

    But anyway, today
    - I've done my on-line banking, and just about scraped together enough to clear a credit card :D
    - I've arranged to do a boot fair with a friend next Sunday so will be sorting things all week.
    - I gutted a fish we were given yesterday for our supper tonight (yeeuch!)
    - We've finally cancelled an extra phone line, which nobody really wanted to do, but as I'll be on my own for many months with DH working abroad and DS's & DD away at uni etc it seemed ridiculously indulgent to keep.

It's going to be tough to get to the end of this month, but I'm staying positive.

    Morning all.

Not really much to report. Still hoping to not go into my OD to much. But today I will be doing:

    My piggyclicks.
Looking into how much I could get for my old mobile.
Have brought a packed lunch to work.
Post some Amazon parcels and package up 2 more!
Try to not increase my OD to much :o
    Keep positive.

    take care x

No and I'm finding that there aren't as many either. I think I only had 3 last week. Has anyone noticed that or is it just me?

I generally only get 3 a week, so that sounds about right. Perhaps they will appear later. Even though it is only 30p a week, it still adds up to a free voucher in the course of the year!

3 seems to be the norm now for Pigsback. I think the click thru's tend to come on later on Mondays now. The freebies thread doesn't have the new ones on it yet.

I used to do daily searches on Quidco and Rpoints to get 'cash' but got out of the routine. Do they still have them? If so can anyone help with the details please.
