Hi
I hope that this is the right forum.

We have had a Halifax mortgage for two years.
January we came to the end of our offer so applied to move to a new offer & added my husband to the mortgage.

We are now at the stage were it has all been agreed but waiting on solicitors to deal with land registry etc, change of equity issues etc.

So... My question is will there be any more credit checks? We've had them done on application & all went through fine.

It's just this has dragged out so long now, and we want to book a holiday & use our credit card for the remaining balance.
But i don't want to be rechecked & have an added £600/700 on the card.
If it's a possibility we won't book the holiday as don't want to affect the application. The added credit would mean we have about £1600 on credit cards rather than about £900.

Hope that all makes sense. Sorry to ramble!

Many thanks

is the holiday booking worth the risk?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

One of the reasons I posted to ask!
We don't want to risk the remortgage., however the holiday is to see my sister get married.
All last minute, so it's not just 'a holiday'.

Hopefully we complete by the end of this month and it won't be an issue. But it's been dragging on through land registry for weeks now :-/

Book it and Halifax will see it.

Is this a product transfer or a new mortgage application?

It's a product transfer. But kind of a new mortgage aswell as we are adding my husband to the mortgage.
So we are moving to new product with them & staying with Halifax. But we did application as we added hubby. Thanks
