I'd like to believe it but I'm queued to go through the toll gate on the M4 in county Kildare and I've run out of euros. This must be what the Greeks feel like.

That's why I keep my British passport on me. Just wave it at them while driving through the toll.

Her Britannic majesty requests. I've no doubt it works a treat.

Here's a pointless tip for you. Give them a five pound note, which they then accept at an easily calculated rate of one for one, then get the change in euro. They seemed happy enough with that.

    Vote syriza.

Probably works better than handing them a EUR50 note...

It's worth remembering that a repossessed property is generally undervalued for a quick sale.

If the property has been possessed already the lender will put it on at a low price but expect to get asking price (otherwise they'll bung it to auction). If it's not been repossessed yet, the owner may be trying a last desperate attempt to sell it, but can normally only do so at a price acceptable to the lender. In this type of scenario, the agent often has more hoops to jump through before they can accept an offer under asking price.

If the property goes for less than the asking price, the former owner will be left with even more of a huge debt shortfall to pay back to the bank - I hate the idea of people trying to put the screws in because they know someone is desperate to sell.

Be objective - look at other properties in a similar condition in the area. If you genuinely believe that the property is overpriced then stick to your guns. If, on the other hand, you're just trying to get the best possible deal you should consider how much you really want this property and whether it's really worth playing hardball.

once I have been asked to bring my money from overseas to England just for put the offer through. I have asked them if they were happy to pay for the commision charges, exchange charges,etc.. and they said no.(offer was not guaranteed, bring the money, put the offer in, not accepted send it back)
Even though I have showed them the bank statements and everything they wouldnt put my offer in.
it was really annoying at the time when you have actual cash to buy something and couldn`t because some estate agency worker decided to see the money in England.
by the way money was in HSBC so not in some unknown bank.

I wanted to buy property to rent out but I dont want to anymore because of estate agency and process takes way too long I have decided not to invest in here anymore. Abroad you can buy the property in 1 hour if it is cash sale or a week or 2 weeks if it is mortgage.

I guess you are at the start of buying property for the first time.Wait till you put an offer with the other agencies. Absolutely joke.
