I thought you had inside knowledge!

    Maybe it's a hot tub?

I didn't think some people would get that it was your particular sense of humour and realise the item is a necessity one and there is obviously a good reason why I'm not being specific ...but its something I could do with now.

Anyway - my thread question has been answered and it appears to be - no can do.
  • And S2P.

Mine's about the same as yours, despite being contracted out for around 10 years and never earning more than the national average.

Well mine's about £136!! Where did I go wrong?

I have emailed to search for an old pension though thanks to this thread, hopefully it will be something.

And now I'm off to look up S2P

But that's still over the basic SRP -perhaps you were contracted out for longish periods?
  • Can it? How's that work?
I'm receiving the State Pension, paid in full contributions since age of 19, why don't I receive more?
You have to look up your contributions under SERPS (State Earnings Related Pension Scheme).

The more you earned, the more NI you paid, and the higher your State Pension.

My State Pension is £193 per week.

Well originally you called it the SRP which I took to mean the basic SRP.
I presume I have lost out because my husband said he could manage our pensions better and we withdrew any of my works pensins and I am thinking I must have paid the Married Women's NI. Of course, now he's me ex, he has been proved right - he has managed my pension better!

I don't think you'd be getting as much as £136 if you'd paid the married woman's stamp, unless it was for a very short period.
