All of my close family with same surname are either dead or live abroad. Gift deposit from abroad is more complicated. So can't go there.0 -
Just had an idea. Would this be less complicated??
I'm remortgaging my current property to get deposit to the second one. Aunt can overpay say £15k into my current mortgage now. I'll then get it as equity release next month.
She can then gift me the rest(10k). I can afford(I'm due to get my big bonus in August and have been doing lots of over time) to loose her £10k if the lender reject her gift.

Can you get equity release that quickly? Will that lender be happy releasing so much for this purpose.
