I've just bought a Kenwood Chef KM0001 kitchen machine but I'm disappointed with the food processor attachment compared to my old cheapy MR Pulse one.
When I try to chop peppers or leeks in the KC it chops the stuff in the bottom of the processor to a fine slush while leaving big chunks on top!!?? Sincew you have to remove the processor from the main machine to take the top off, it's not quick or easy to push the chunks down to the bottom (as it was with my old MR cheapy one). I wonder if I am doing something wrong. I use the processor attachment with the metal blade. When I turn it on, also the mixer/beater goes round at the same time as the processor is on - is that meant to happen???
Thanks in advance
Annie

I agree with you annie-c. Before I got my Chef (with liquidiser and processor) I had a stand-alone Kenwood processor. It was far more efficient at chopping and as you say, a lot more convenient to use. I still have it, having been reluctant to give it away as I am less than impressed by the Chef processor, its just a case of lack of space in the kitchen.
Yes, the bit where you fix the beater goes round at the same time.0 -
Thanks Saving Grace. Oh that's disappointing. Not that I want the hassle of returning the thing to the shop, but I was hoping that something was wrong and that it would miraculously be put right. after all I heard about the KC I wanted it to be the only machine in the kitchen. It's no probs to keep my old little processor really but I'm half inclined to think that if the KC is best at mixing etc, then I might as well have had the sexier Kitchen Aid for the same price...0

If you food processor not chop peppers well, it may because its blade not properly set. You have to contact customer care. They help you to get best results. Thanks
