Slimitee Tea

I have seen this tea in Holland and barratt and it sounds like its a laxative. It is cheap at £2.19 for 10 bags so I wouldn't be losing much money but does it help with weight loss?. After a week off and indulging in a few afternoon teas and iced frappes I have gained just shy of 5 pounds and my size 12 skinny jeans are very snug at the waist. Any comments from anyone who has tried this tea welcome.

I took the plunge and bought a pack of 20 slimatee tea bags from Holland and barrett last week. At £3.55 they are a lot cheaper than bootea and one of the store assistants told me they are very good. You have one cup each night and let the bag steep for around 5 minutes then drink it all in one go. I cant say if it will really help me to lose some pounds but I will say it certainly gave me a good clear out!. Im on my 4th day now and you are to have just one cup each evening for 10 days, you must wait at least another 4 weeks before you repeat this so a box of 20 is good value and saves money instead of buying a 10 pack. I also signed up for a Holland and barratt rewards card too and got a voucher to use in September which allows me to buy any product for half price. Plus another voucher that gives me double points when spending over £5.

I doubt anything will help you to lose weight apart from cutting calories - it would aid the process though

Hmm sounds like it's a mild laxative and makes you lose weight by dehydrating you slightly when you, ahem clear out.

Exactly this - this is a laxative, it doesn't burn fat. You will become dehydrated, it's a really bad idea if you toilet normally as you won't retain as many nutrients from your food either.

You wouldn't have put 5lb on either, you're retaining water from eating out more. Eat healthy, less salt, you'll be ok in a couple of weeks.
