file clean up

Hi

I was discharged on 5th June this year from my BR and am now starting to clean up my files. :j

I've got the Experian and Equifax credit reports and can see that some of the lenders who were included in the BR have registered default dates 'after' the BR date - does this matter? They were definitely all included

For those that are listed still as defaults how do I find the contact details to write to them to ask them to remove the default and mark as satisfied? Do I just google? Also do I need an official letter as I don't have this - I just have a print screen from the IR site.

I have a CCJ in Northampton county court that was included in the BR also for just under 4k. This still shows - how do I get this to show as satisfied?

So many questions I know but once I've sorted my files out I'll need to start on my husband's as he gets Automatic discharge on the 1st July :j

Thanks in advance
All of my views are my own :o

The default date needs to be on or before your BR date - not discharge date.

Do check noddle (call credit) too.

You can google to get the company info or I believe you can use the query facility on equifax & experian (don't know about noddle). I am just about to do this & will use the query facility. I know someone said they did it this way & it was so easy.

Give them your BR reference number & your BR date and say that the default date is not correct & the date needs to be on or before xxxxx (your br date).

As said, address for contact is usually available on the report or via the CRA.

    Can also search here: https://ico.org.uk/esdwebpages/search

For letter confirming discharge email discharge.queries@insolvency.gsi.gov.uk with the request including full name, date of birth, current and previous address, national insurance number and court reference number.

CCJ cannot technically be marked as satisfied if not actually paid but instead included in a BR. You can ask, but the court is within it's rights to say no under the rules. If it pre-dates the BR, as it should, then it's no big deal anyway as the BR itself is a bigger badder black mark.
