OK, driving myself nuts now.....
a while ago someone linked to a calculator for old & new SP, and the Foundation/starting guaranteed amounts, which included Contracted-Out years, but d'ya think I can find it now? No, course I can't and I'm all googled out trying to find it again...
..can anyone point me in the right direction please???

As far as I know, the link above is all that is available.
If you are over 55 you can obtain a new state pension statement.

Re deferring your CS pension beyond 60
http://www.civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk/media/94835/crb-1_sep2014.pdf
"Do I have to take my pension
when I reach pension age?
No. If you wish, you may defer taking
your pension. If you take your pension
later than age 60 it will not be increased
to refl ect the late payment. Your
pension will, however, be increased in
line with rises in the cost of living."0 -

Regardless of your current age, you should be able to obtain your "Foundation Amount" figure after the new scheme starts next April....
Possess your soul in patience...:)0 -

I will have patience until I win the lottery :rotfl:
my foundation amount should be whatever the basic SP is in March next year as I'll have 31 years of contributions, as that'll be more than the calculation under the new scheme as I've always been contracted out. I should be able to build up to the max single tier as I'll still have 18-19 yrs of work to get another 8-9 yrs of NI contributions in before the sp becomes payable
....if I've read it correctly......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

...although, I should in theory only need another 4-5 yrs of NI for a max of 35, but then I'll have at least £35pw to earn, probably more by then....why's it so darn complicated ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
