I've noticed that a lot of you go to and recomend Costco so I looked them up on-line and see that they are retail only. How do you get to shop at Costco? Any help greatfully recieved.

You have to join. You can join as a company for a small fee and then a slightly larger fee if you are not a company. They are good, I got my tefal steamer from them and if anything goes wrong they will replace it, no matter how long you have had it for.

it costs us £30 a year for our membership alot better on the pocket if you can get some one to half in with you
  • Hi, I highly recommend Costco if you can get a membership. This can be done either as a company or as an individual (providing you are a member of certain professions - listed on their website). I save lots on various items there - including frozen food which i buy in bulk; lasts ages! It's also great for drinks, nappies and all sorts really!

Right, I've been on their website. I can only find details of Retail membership and I can't find details of the professions that can join. Probably me being a bit dim.

If you email them and enquire they will reply with a list. That's what I had to do. I only go about 4 times a year as I spend hundreds of pounds on every visit :o

Just ask what the requirements are for membership and they will email you a list of the criteria. I'm a nurse and anyone who works for the NHS can join, Local Authority employees can join too. Also some companies have 'Gold' membership so all their employees can join - my neighbour works for L'Oreal, which is a Gold company member.

(Edit to add: when I say 'that's what I had to do', I mean 'that's what I had to do to find out who could join', sorry, I can see that wasn't clear.)
