    Hi,

No, he didn't, and now he is on paternity leave - he should come back next week.

Are we saying the broker saw the proof of deposit. Knew it was coming from Italy. Then put the case to LBS, and they said no?

Now one colleague of the broker is saying no way LBS will do it, and another seems more hopeful?

    All a little worrying.

Do your parents live in Italy? The Leeds gifted deposit form, which they must have signed for your application, states very clearly that gifted deposits will only be accepted from UK residents.

Yes, they saw it before to send the proof of deposit - unless they didn't?!

Yes, it is kind of worrying.

What do you think it I pay in the spare cash I have outside the bank? How would this be taken into consideration?

    Cheers,

The next question will be, where has the cash come from?

My life time savings. My parents wanted to help me out without touching it, but there we go.

You are asking the Lender to believe you saved several thousand in cash?

Dump this problem back on your broker - or find a new one.

Find a trusted third party in the UK (brother, sister?) who can accept the Italy funds from your parents and then 'gift' them to you.

Yes, you are right - it's his problem, but I am going to lose the flat if things don't solve quickly.

No family is in UK unfortunately :(
