It's like the EU don't want us to stay members really, isn't it?
Fine by me. I've decided how I'm voting - and it isn't to be led by them!0 -
It is wholly consistent with the policy of the European Super State that it should seek fiscal union and seek uniformity across all member states. I very much doubt that Cameron will find a real negotiated solution to stopping this stupidity. I shall be voting No for the second time in my life.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0

And the EU wants us to stay?
Really?
Decisions like this really don't help their case!!4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.0 -
Don't forget that VAT is and always has been an EU tax. The rules are set-up by the whole EU and all countries have agreed to abide by them. We have just been found by the European Court to be misapplying the rules. So, the Government needs to come into line. If the whole EU thinks this is a mad rule then they can change it. If the UK proposes change in this area, who knows how it will pan out... Hardly a ground for leaving the club in my view, whatever ones overall views on that club. If we leave we'll simply have a UK purchase tax of some sort. Whether that would reinstate the 5% is far from certain.0

Ah, that will explain why Diesel is only 79p a Litre in Spain and Petrol in the low 80s per Litre. Fiscal Union!
Maybe "Fiscal Union" also explains why other EU members have 4 different VAT rates?

Seems the UK is being singled out AGAIN!0
