Cross-trainer buying advice.

Hello,
I am looking to get a cross-trainer to get myself in shape and would be grateful for any advice - what to look out for or any particular models.
I bought the cheapest one I could find from Decathlon a few years ago and although it wasn't bad, I wished I had spent more to get something a bit better.
Ideally, I want something that is programmable (e.g. pre-set workouts), which probably means that it is going to have to plug in to the mains.
Is it possible to get something like this for around the £300-£350 mark?
Thanks
