Barclays Family Affordability Plan

Hi

Does anyone have any experience with Barclays Family Affordability Plan Mortgages?
If I get a mortgage with my Dad on this particular plan can I get one for 30 years? I'm 31 and he's 57 but part of the whole point of the Family Affordability Plan is that he gets taken off the mortgage as soon as I can afford it so do they do it on my age rather than his? He's already retired by gets a good private pension so together we easily meet the affordability.

Sorry if that's a stuipd question.

Thanks

I have spoken to a mortgage advisor at Barclays about this as I was looking at a joint mortgage with my daughter. If its in joint names they will only lend until your dad reaches the age of 70.They will take it from his next birthday so they will only lend over a 12 year term which makes the monthly repayments considerably higher.
