SOA review

Hi guys,

Please could you take a look at my SOA and let me know any thoughts. I have just moved in with my girlfriend so she now pays half the rent and bills. After many years of depression and struggling with my ex partner i have not dealt with this situation well and need to address the 80K i owe. I have spoken to the old CCCS in the past who suggested BR but i could face doing it. Because my girlfriend now pays £460 towards the bills etc, it leaves me with £370 each month. If i go BR how long does the OR taken money towards payments?

All help appreciated.

Warren

    Hi Warren

Just a quick look but your clothing allowance is quite low, and you really should have contents insurance..

Id also put in £40 for holidays (£20 per adlult) and £20 emergency fund (£10 per adult)

    thanks for looking.

What is the rough figure for clothing? I dont buy clothes that often but can see that i will need to at some point. I will look at getting contents insurance before i file for BR .

I went BR on the 25th March this year and am in a similar position to yourself (two adult household)

I put down £40 for clothing and footwear.. also my housekeeping (food and cleaning) was considerably higher at £400

    Do you use the drycleaners?

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Echo the other posts & also medical/dental could be upped. £10 only covers one prescription without dental costs & buying paracetamol etc from the high street.

    Hi again,

I still think you are under estimating your housekeeping expenses. This figure should include food, toiletries, cleaning products etc. and is to cover both of you.

£250 a month works out at £4.12 per day each, to purchase all of the above.

How do you have internet without a phone line are you a cable customer?

You can't have presents in bankruptcy, unfortunately - you need to be creative with your monthly budgeting to fit those in when required.

    Hi thanks for the responses.
Currently, shopping and house old stuff is split between me and my girlfriend. She doesn't give me any money towards it in the money she pays. We take it in turn to do the shopping each week, so really my figure is for 2 weeks worth out of the month. Is the £250 i put too much in that case?

No i do have a phone line but put it under the Internet as its all together with Talk Talk, do i need to list it separately?

I will take off the presents :)

I would put it down separately or just explain it in the notes section that it's the combined price.

Id say if your housekeeping bill is £250 for two weeks or even your original price of £200 then a month should be double that.. no matter who pays for it (it's a household expense)
