How Reliable are Audi's?

yup have checked out now 2 avensis and from the build quality they seem still super solid even at this age, also not much rust on them at all unlike for hondas.Don't really think I would have much problems with avensis.
But yeah the audi a6 I saw yday was just in way different class and looked miles better inside/out and seemed just a well put together car as well.0 -
Checked-out the reliabilty checker link and was amazed to discover my Berlingo was more reliable than any Audi or BMW.Never Knowingly Understood.

We had a 2010 berlingo and called the AA out so many times in a year we used up their maximum annual call out.
Our 2003 Seat Toledo which is effectively an Audi/VW/skoda underneath has been faultless in the year we've had it, now has a few miles short of 104000.
Our mechanic friend recommended we only consider VAG or Toyota, which is the options here so whichever has been best cared for I would pick.0 -
I would go with the Avensis for less hassle, yes VAG are nice but I don't live in a car.
I bought my Passat estate in 2003 new (via work) and later bought it off the company. She is now on 280k and still sweet.
Yes there are consumables with the VW but it's the little things which I never saw failing on our other car (a 2010 Yaris) like a seat belt failure, a passenger door lock, brake calipers, suspension arms, radiator.
As it's serviced every 10k it's not too expensive to run, looking at my old spreadsheets I can see that on average I had to spend around £400/year keeping it going.
But then the old VAG machines are a far less complicated affair compare to the stuff they output in the last six years or so.Five exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!
