From Detecive to Recruitment Consultant?

  • TTT perhaps you're right however the main reason for considering recruitment is what it could lead into - i.e lateral movement into business/management/developmental roles within a firm.

I am indeed a graduate from The University of Manchester, back in 2004. What schemes would you suggest? I'm, going to investigate the EPIC website more fully.
  • There is one ex-MET man who is a very successful consultant now:

"Having spent my career dealing with financial crime, both as a Met detective and as a legal consultant, I now spend my time working with financial institutions advising them on the best way to provide compliance with the plethora of conflicting regulations..."

  • Nice post Pluto....and interesting read from the ex-MPS man indeed.
  • Much of the material on the ex-policeman's blog is over my head and out of my area of expertise, but there are one or two articles here and there that are of great interest to me.

There is one about an honest man who had to fight his financial trader colleagues daily. He tried to get them to follow regulations as he did and to operate ethically, but it was a losing battle. They treated him very badly.

There is an interview with a financial con man in another post. His opinion of his 'victims' and details of how they can be manipulated are very instructive.

Anyway, if you enjoyed working in advertising then perhaps you got it right the first time and marketing and recruitment really are for you.
