Anti Wrinkle Cream+retinol

There has been a lot written this year about how good some of these creams are. Today I was reading about one done by Boots No.5 that was quite cheap and very good but I seem to remember someone on one of these boards mentioning either Lidl or Aldi doing a similar cream that contained more Retin A than the very expensive ones. Does anyone know about this? If not, I will just go to both stores and see what they have.

The Boots one is a serum called N. 7 Protect and Perfect, which sells for £16.75, I think? That's the one that was featured on the BBC Horizon programme and that was sold out for months after that. It is much cheaper than other brand creams and according to the study, it showed some effects in wrinkle reducing. In the Boots thread someone mentioned the Time delay (also a Boots band) wrinkle reducing night serum which costs £10 and has the same ingredients as the protect and perfect. But these are serums, that you apply before the moisturiser.
As for the Lidl and Aldi ones, I'm not sure about them, perhaps you can get back to us on that.0 -
Here is probably the greatest single money saving tip I can ever give.
Don't buy anti wrinkle creams they don't work, none of them.
Stop worrying about wrinkles and they just disappear all by themselves!I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
I'm sure I read after the Horizon programme that Boots were involved in some way with the outcome of the studies, and that it was actually a swizz.
The best way to prevent wrinkles forming prematurely is to use sunscreen. I'd rather spend the money on Boots' Soltan Face SPF 50 than their No7 Protect And Perfect.
No idea about the Lidl/Aldi ones, but someone out there will know.0 -
I'd love to know if thers's a cheap one too!!I bought both P&P,R&R and time delay.they are v v good;I have deep smokers lines down both sides of my mouth & whenever I use the stuff regularly they do gradually disappear.I googled the main ingredient & its some sort of plastic/latex/whatever!HTHCarpe Jugulem0

One of the ways these anti wrinkle creams are supposed to work is by increasing skin hydration.
While I've suggested magnesium Chloride as an anti stress mechanism for bruxers (teeth grinding) it also improves skin hydration and condition.
I buy it by the 25kg sack from the local agricultural merchants and bung a jugful in the bathwater and soak for 20 minutes. People with inflammatory conditions such as Fibromyalgia may also benefit. Lidl's skin creams are really good - I use their 'Anti-Wrinkle Cream' (I know, I know!) and it costs £2 something and stops wrinkles as effectively as any other cream that doesn't include Retinol!! (ie. not at all!) but makes skin look and feel nice. I also noticed they do a cream with Q10, whatever that is, for a similar price so go for it! I don't have many wrinkles but I think you either wrinkle or you sag - and I'm sagging!Up Jacob's Creek without a paddle!0
