Advice needed . . Please

Hi first time poster , looking for some advice.
Myself & my partner are looking to buy our first home
We earn £20k each p.a
Credit rating has been fair -good for both of us for past 6 years !
We do have a credit card and catalogue that get paid each month . . Worst is late payment but never missed
An overdraft free that's paid of each month in full !

However we have used payday loans for emergencys in past 6 months ( my dad got very ill and we had to help)
Paid bk in full on time
I'm worried this will affect our chances!

Do you think it would b best to have 30k deposit or use 5k to clear all debt and have 25k deposit

Are we looking in a realistic price range ?!

My dad has money in a trust . . Just received. . I was wondering if this would help as he would do guarantor?

Thank you

as usual, a broker is best to advise on a case by case basis

But I would also check all three credit agencies to see any other issues with credit history. Ignore the score, it's irrelevant. Some brokers are good for adverse credit and may be able to get you a mortgage, but don't expect the good rates from the best buy tables.
