I have tried so many times and failed to get out of debt, it hasn't got any bigger over the last 12 months but it hasn't gone down either. This time I am going to do it once and for all. First of all the debt side is as follows:
Bank of mum : £5000
Loan from friend : £1000
Over draft : £2000
Credit Card : £740 ( Interest free until December 2016)
Total : £8740
That looks a lot at the moment but I am determined it's going to start coming down bit by bit, I have worked out a budget and snowballed the debts and I should be debt free in 16 months and maybe sooner if I can throw any extra money at them.
I really want to get rid of this by the middle of next year so I can start saving for a deposit for the house I live in at the moment as I now have the option to buy and I would really like to start making head way into that plan as soon as possible.
I am going to start saving all my receipts for the rest of the month and I will work out where all my extra money is going although I can guess on food and utter rubbish that isn't needed and just wanted. If I start seeing where it's going then I can make a real effort to stop being money stupid and save it for debts.
Well that's it for now I am going to try and come on everyday in the hope it will deter me from spending on wants and not needs.

Today's spends will be as follows:
£50 petrol
£3 salad stuff for work
I am determined I will walk out of the supermarket with just peppers, cucumber and lettuce for work, I made some salad dressing last night so that will be poured over it when I get to work, I must get out of the habit of seeing bargains and buying things i didn't even want at the time, a little step but it should make a huge difference to the debt busting planDebt:

Good luck with your journey!! Just take enough cash for what you need from the shops so you don't over spendVirtual sealed pot 2019 member #6 :j

Well I made it to the shops and under spent
(even with my daughter in toe wanting sweets) she didn't get them.
I got a lettuce reduced to 25p, cucumber reduced to 10p and a bag of peppers for £1 some I will eat this week in salads and the rest I have chopped up and frozen to throw in meals to bulk them out. The dreaded petrol bill was paid for the week £50 but that will cover both my full time and part time job, the full time one is out in the sticks and no one lives anywhere near me and the part time one is as a courier so I have to use my car.
