Totally agree with this - P20 is the only thing I've found that stops me being a prickly heat mess. Not cheap, but totally worth the comfort.Threadhead0 -

From research, many people seem to suggest this. It surprises me as P20 is oily and I'd assume that would clog pores which I know can trigger prickly heat. So I'll take antihistamines before and during being away, and I'll use Riemann P20. Should I exfoliate and / or moisturise in the weeks before I head off on holiday?0 -
Certain medications can cause light/photo-sensitivity. I got it when I was taking the Pill many years ago.0

I'm not on any pills. I'm actually thinking this could be PLME rather than prickly heat. Once a year typically, early summer, back of hands and arms only (that's exposed to sunlight). Seems to flare up in the sunlight even though it's not overly warm. Is the P20 and antihistamines still a good course of prevention for that?0 -
Personally, the only thing that worked for me was Uvistat factor 30 sunscreen, which I got on prescription. That was back in the day when it was almost unheard of to use such a high SPF, lol.0

I have what I believe is PLME, although I get individual lumps rather than a rash. It's a bit odd, because my skin does actually tan easily. I've found that using Tesco factor 30 for sensive skin works very well. Once my skin has some colour, I then go down to factor 15, but still Tesco sensitive.0 -

It's suggested that P20 is also just as good for preventing PLME. I'm wondering if taking anti histimines (any particular brand?) would also be beneficial for PLME as it would Prickily Heat. I'll also (when this current bout subsides) try and get my skin out into the sun more in preparation for going on holiday. I'm keen to do anything I can as it's an unbearable condition and would ruin a holiday.0 -
Any suncream that blocks my pores gives me prickly heat.Never again will the wolf get so close to my door :eek:0
