Pay off Credit Card before Completion
PETIE
Received offer in post this morning, and it says as condition of the offer, the credit card balance of £156 must be paid before completion, How will they check this has been paid?
Will a statement to solicitor suffice?
As the next statement is not due for 2 more weeks, then after that's paid and reported to the CRA's then it could take a while to filter through to Nationwide to show it is paid, delaying the whole process.

It is the solicitor's responsibility to ensure this condition is met. So providing them with a statement to show £0 balance should be sufficient.Slummy mummy!0
