Oh god not at all - there will def be no need for further credit! I was asking more from the point of view of wondering what else would've affected - couldn't care less about the ability to obtain credit as we don't want it!

Cold hard not reading their posts properly.

The property with equity is the one where the equity isnt theirs.

No point selling any property as wouldn't get us any money unfortunately.

If only it were that simple. I may have no idea regarding bankruptcy and CCJs etc but I'm not stupid and have considered options. Sadly we don't seem to have many!

Official Receiver in bankruptcy would sit on the 3 properties for 3 years waiting for the equity to go up then would come after them for what there is then. Could get very very messy as unless you can prove otherwise they would assume 50% is yours.

14 days starts on date of service x days after they are posted not when the papers were printed, so you have more time than you think.

Go here to ask if there is any chance of opposing the claim. http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/forumdisplay.php?105-Received-a-Court-Claim May as well ask as sometimes there is when you dont realise it.

Thanks. Tbh I doubt the equity in either of ours would increase. The one we rent out is on interest only and the rent literally just clears mortgage - no income or equity there. Ours is anew build so lost a fair value as soon as we moved in!
It's mums that I would worry about but I'm pretty sure we drew up something at the time to say we had no claim on the equity (to protect siblings) x
