Post Office Card Account - Closure?

What does my Mother need to do to have her Pension paid into her normal bank account and get the balance of her Post Office Card Account transferred?

She also wishes to close her Post Office Card Account as the nearest branch has relocated and she cannot get there without me having a day off work to take her and she can then only withdraw £600 per day.

To request the change of bank account details, she needs to contact the Pension Service

I'm not sure, but I suspect they'll also be able to advise on closing the POCA.

Mum died a couple of months ago and I went into her local PO and obtained the relevant form to enable her card account to be closed .

To close the post office account, she needs to get a form from the post office. They will transfer the balance to the bank account, but make sure the pension service have the bank account details. Post office will redirect for a short period and then start returning payments back to the pension service, who will suspend the account until your mum contacts them
