One good use of the 25% is to fund making additional pension contributions, so you can increase the final pension pot value by the extra tax relief.
Another use is to do things like buying VCTs that can increase the value of the estate by more than the inheritance tax charge.
Then there are AIM investments that are not currently treated as part of the estate at all if they are in the list of those that qualify for business property relief.
EIS and SEIS investments are exempt from inheritance tax and could be used.0
