Hi,
I've noticed a couple of my entries have sorted themselves out, HSBC have ignored so it looks like I'm going to have to complain to them. Still I've got a bit lost off on debts that have been sold on. Do I contact the original lender or the agent? Some of them have just disappeared which I guess is ok...
Any advice?

If you contact the agent with proof of bankruptcy they should leave you alone without you needing to contact the lender again.
To prevent it being sold on again, you could also contact the lender.
If you only contact the lender it should still clear it all up - but it'd probably be quicker if you just complained to both. Most debt collectors seem to say sorry for the bother and stop chasing - all within a few days - in my experience.
When I email I just CC both companies in with my name, address, DOB and bankruptcy number (since the DCA normally don't know your account/policy/agreement number). Some will come back and ask you more questions, some will just accept it's you and give up once they've run their own checks0 -
One in particular Ive never heard of the current owner either in general or in terms of any contact from them to say we are now chasing this debt and very much want you to pay it.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0

You contact the company listed on your credit file. That may be a collector or the original lender, but whoever is listed on there is the company who now has legal responsibility to correct.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
