AIP with Woolwhich

So today we did an AIP application with Woolwhich and it was approved for the amount we need. When we got to the end of the application it asked us to book an appointment with a mortgage advisor in branch and broke it down what documentation we would need to see.

For me it asked for 1 payslip, 1 bank statement and passport
For OH it asked for 3 payslips, 3 bank statements and passport

I booked in with a branch next Friday and explained to the lady on the phone what documentation it asked for. She also asked me to bring 3 months payslips even though it only asked for 1 online.

I receieve bonus every quarter but there was no option for that so I put it under annual bonus. So why didnt it ask to see a P60? In my OH's incomings we used Child Benefit but it never asked us to take awards notice. Is this why she needs 3 months bank statements rather than 1?

My main concern is my wife has only been with her employer 3 months and has another 3 months to go till her 6 month probation is complete. She has been continually working for the past 3 years.

Does anyone have any recent experiance with Woolwhich? Are they being picky? Is the level of docs asked for normal? Should I expect to be asked for more?

Thank you for your time.

    Hi sheep

We have an aip with woolwich, broker came round yesterday to get docs for full app and we had to provide 3 month pay slips, 3 month bank statements, recent P60s and ID

In addition I also had to provide my payslip from August which showed my bonus being paid. Child benefit they will take as proof from bank statement payment into account,

I am not sure what element of this was what the broker thought they could ask for or what they had actually requested though and collected from the outset to save delays in getting these documents to them

    Thanks Charlamine,

Was hoping to just use the 1 month bank statement for me as I was overdrawn for a while until last month. When the computer said i woukd only need one statement I was relieved. Then on the phone the advisor said best to take 3 months in ao she can 'calculate income'. I wonder why she cannot do that from payslips alone!

    Stressfull times eh? :)

they want to see the income is deposited into your account every month. Any mug can alter a payslip.

Broker asked us to provide 3 payslips each AND the payslip showing any bonuses in the last two years. I also took in P60s to be sure.

We waited 2 days for our Woolwich AIP but it all went through. I have two Bar lays credit checks on my file as a result so assume it was a 'hard' search.

Well I have decided to speak with a L&C broker so that I have a back up. He took all my details and said he would call me back on Monday. Heard mixed reviews about L&C so hope I got a good advisor!
