Wanting to choose an Ebike for ride to work, which is the best?

Is there one or two bikes which are head and shoulders above the rest?

What sort of budget do you have in mind and what distance and type of surface is your commute?

What's so good about it? How is it better than the many similar bikes for half that?

I'm looking at a new Brompton, because 2nd hand they still seem expensive, may as well buy new.

Anybody know the cheapest new Brompton? I think about £700 for basic model?

In all honesty, for us to give proper advice you'd have to give more details on what you want it for.

Your initial post said you wanted an Ebike but now you're talking about a brompton which are two very different things?

Are you looking for a commuter bike for work? What sort of distance is your commute? Are you in reasonable health to consider a pedal bike? Do you want a Brompton because you're planning on travelling by train part of the way or is the distance one that can be done entirely on a pedal bike? What sort of budget do you have? Will it all be on roads or is there some off road riding?
