White goods and electricals

We are moving back from overseas after 3 years and will need to buy all new white goods (no point bringing the ones we have here with us as all rusted form being near the sea).

I have been recommended AO.com by a family member and they will price match JL however just wondering if there is anyone else out there who will supply all we need in one go and deliver (on a specific day) and fit?

I have tesco clubcard somewhere (although it may have gone in the packing!) and wondered if the extra points would make using them worthwhile. Is my clubcard tagged to my online tesco account or do i have to try and remeber the number? Could I claim the points retrospectively?

We will need

Fridge/Freezer
Washing Machine
Dishwasher
Tumble Dryer
Vacuum cleaner
Iron
Microwave

Many thanks in advance

ao.com are great in my opinion, all free next day delivery and they can install if you require.

I have never found them to be beaten on price.

AO will price match almost anything you can find on the web. They are cheap and cheerful and it's a bit like 'it does what it says on the tin'. However, when a friend had a large side by side American fridge freezer delivered they chipped her granite worktop installing it. Her CS experience has been very poor and she has now sent an LBA.

They are good for cheap prices, but don't expect help if anything goes awry.

I would look at all price matching websites, Topcashback/quidco/shops away (if you collect Virgin miles) or a good cash back credit card.
  • +1 for Topcashback etc. :T
We used Topcashback (there are others, as stated before) when we replaced our white goods - look on Topcashback site for their current rates at AO.com.
It's entirely possible to save even more (in our case over £200 ) - but please PLEASE get recommended by another Topcashback user BEFORE you start buying; both you and the .. err ... recommender (is that a word?) will both earn an EXTRA sum (currently £5 plus).
After all, "every little helps", right?

As for Tesco & their clubcard - well, the value of points earned won't anything like equal even the lower price at AO.com, WITHOUT cash back in any form.
There are often Clubcard voucher offers which could POSSIBLY make shopping at Tesco for these items worthwhile, but that's a whole new story.
