Information on transferring mortgage to another property

Hi
I was wondering if anyone could help me? My husband and i had a mortgage accepted with Natwest, unfortunately the valuation came back with concerns over bay windows.
Long story short, we had a structural surveyor go out and there were a lot of issues that would of cost too much money. We therefore sadly had to pull out.
We were told by Natwest that we had 90 days to find a new property, luckily enough we have found one quickly.
I have contacted Natwest with the new details of the property. My question is, does transferring a mortgage over to another property take just as long as a new application or can it be slightly quicker?
One problem that may occur is the fact that the new property is £8250 over the price of our last property; this price is still under what our decision in principle was (hopefully will be ok) Natwest said that there as a certain price range that we could go up to, but they didn’t tell us what it was?
Has anyone had any experience of transferring mortgage to another property?
