  • It's not actually that obvious, especially if you're not particularly computer-literate, so rather than being snide and unhelpful I'll suggest searching other Lidl posts on this forum. Some of them have the details of how to find your area code.

Could someone please explain what the different area codes mean against the meat offers.

I am glad you asked this question because I don't understand the area codes either.

Those who are not particularly computer-literate would find looking them up on Lidl's web site a lot less difficult than searching this forum for posts on a specific topic.
  • Click Forum Search, type "Lidl area" and click Go. The fourth result has the information.
    What's your alternative?

No. Instead of including the legend with each and every post those interested can find out one time what their own area code is and remember it.

What a rude and unhelpful reply! If you dont want to help, fine- but to actually take the time to write a post saying you arent going to be helpful! how rude!

For those who want to find out, it is a little difficult, but go to Lidl store finder -
ww.lidl.co.uk/en/785.htm find your local store, ensure you click "select store" and then in the url (web address) at the top- look for the number after where it shows "ar". that is your area code.
    so in this example:
ww.lidl.co.uk/en/785.htm?ar=6&changestore=1 the are code is 6.
(sorry the links dont work, it says I am not allowed to post links just copy and paste and add a w, and should be ok!)

    hope this helps!

I am glad you asked this question because I don't understand the area codes either.

The Lidl map seems to be split up into 12 areas (zones).
Sometimes all areas have the same meat offers, but some weeks there are variations (as above - 3 different meat offers depending on your location). Sometimes there are variations on the non-meat offers (in Scotland for example).
You need to find your local store and then you can work out which "area" you are in (I'm in area 10 - North East England).

Pop your post code in here:-
    http://www.lidl.co.uk/en/785.htm?variablesback=country;zipcode;city;district;street;ar;nf&country=Gb&changeStore=1&returnUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lidl.co.uk%2Fen%2F2669.htm%3Far%3D10

This will give you a list of local stores - select one.

Then when you click via Lidl, you will see an URL relating to your store.
    Mine is-
    http://www.lidl.co.uk/en/index.htm?ar=10

The ar=10 is my area. So, it could be ar=1 to ar=12, depending on location. Once you have located your "number", remember it. lol

Got to Lidl abut 10am, still plenty of the pork loin joints so bought 3. Just had some of the 50p tiger loaf, delicious. Also got some loose cherries, £3.99 a kg. No idea if that is a good price but they look and taste lovely.

Yes, it's got a salt and black pepper crust. I'll give it a good wash before cooking to get the excess off.
