What course are you taking at college? If it's not too 'hands-on' perhaps you could switch to a distance learning course and find full-time work?
Have you got any holidays/a honeymoon booked? If so, perhaps you could cancel and only lose your deposit?
Go through topcashback for any purchases that are essential and do your food shop at all the different supermarkets to take advantage of the new customer offers.
Here's a link to the marriage tax allowance article.

No we don't, we're going to Greece to get married so it's all rolled in to one really. Fly in 5 weeks on Sunday.
It's an Access to Higher Education (Health) course, I looked at distance learning but would prefer to actually attend, and it isn't covered hu the 24+ loan.
Thanks, definitely looking forward and well benefit from this so much in the end but just trying to find ways to make everything easier in the short term. If I get in first time, I'll be receiving bursaries from next year which will act as some income too.0 -

Is this only for full time students do you know?0 -
A budget is not a monthly thing it should be a plan looking at least a year ahead. if you had a proper budget it would be clear where you can make cuts to rebalance due to the reduced income.
If you know what you spend do the SOA should only take a few minutes if you have the data.
People can comment on the full picture not a summary of the just the big stuff.0 -
I do know know as much as I can my finances for the next year, however I do not know some of them until the changes occurs.
I have stated everything I can, I cannot tell you what I will get them for Christmas, though, as I don't know yet. I can't tell you next years home insurance, I don't know that yet. I cant tell you what the tax credits will be, I can't get through to them and the change hasn't happened yet so they won't confirm any figures yet.
I can tell you that I'll be applying for a part time job soon, and it's £7p/h 24 hours per week so if I were to get that it'll be a £700 boost, roughly. I can tell you I cancelled some packages on sky until I'm able to get through to them so I've cut it down by £40 per month so far.
I am well aware of what a budget is, and have always planned carefully what I could, however unexpected events you can't plan for and we did the best we could at the time. Thanks though.0 -
Buildings/contents gets paid annually which was £60 this year, car ta /insurance th same, depends what's cheaper at the time. We have money set aside for that. A check up at ththe dentist every 2 years is neither here nor there as is the optitians, which I never go to. Partner cuts his own hair and I don't need to go that often. Don't have any prescriptions but if on the rare occasion either of us do £8 isn't difficult to find. Xmas/birthdays we save up for, and don't go out often by choice. Don't spend a massive amount of money on clothing either.
Thanks for the tip though.
They are all spends that add up though & need to be included in your budget. If you don't list EVERYTHING you can't possibly budget properly.
It's surprising how much these odd bits add up to.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
SPC 9 (2016) #485 TOTAL £84
SPC 10 (2017) # 485 TOTAL: £464.80
SPC 11 (2018) #4850 -
Well, since we manage to pay for all of this it would be fair to say we do budget, roughly, on the cost the year before so we do infact budget0
