Waiting on mortgage offer from nationwide. Spoke to them today after being told by broker that offer expected by end of today and been told they everything has been satisfied and final checks done yesterday, but the application has been pulled by head office for final checks too. Why has this happened when according to them final checks were done yesterday? I'm worried sick now that we are going to be declined 😞
Anyone else had this happen with nationwide? Did you get the offer?
This application has been going on for 4 weeks now and are expected to complete on our house in 2 weeks, I'm so stressed

Assume you havent exchanged yet which mean the completion date will still be flexible.Thinking critically since 1996....0

Thanks. Iv worried throughout this whole 4 weeks so when I was told that today i felt crushed!
I thought it was optimistic, but developer is chasing our solicitor to get everything that can be done, done as they are insisting we will be completing in 2 weeks! I doubt it though
Haven't exchanged yet, more than likely exchange and complete on same day now.0 -
Heres a handy tip for you. Nationwide will send the offer out in second class post if you dont tell them you need it in the first class. That might save you a couple of days.
Otherwise just try to remain calm while the head office assessment takes placeI am a Mortgage Adviser
