Haven't seen this anywhere else so here goes.
Lyco (https://www.lyco.co.uk) discount code gives you 15% off when you spend £99 or more.
They mainly do light bulbs but sell other stuff as well.

So what is the code, please?
I do like Lyco, and have bought a number of lighting items from them in the past. By the way, is the discount for online orders or for post/phone ones?Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -
Oops sorry :-[
Discount code is C15. Closing date is 31st October 2004.
I assume you could use it for post, phone and internet orders. All it says on the letter is make sure you quote discount code at point of order.
Haven't actually used it myself yet as am waiting until I have £99 + to spend.
Good luck.0 -
Thank you! I expect it's £99 before VAT, too, huh?Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930

Yes you are right it is £99 before VAT :-/
Another code is ORG which gives you a free Sharp ZQ-P20H organiser. Again you need to spend £99 ex vat and offer runs out 30th November 2004.
Probably not that good unless you are particularly after this organiser and I assume you can't combine codes? Maybe if you phone them up they may take them both? Worth a try!0 -
mmm. maybe its not such a bad deal as these organisers retail at £19.99 and sync with outlook. Please see link http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?PID=961619&catalogId=2501¶ms=100x100generic&productId=112851&referredURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fwebapp%2Fwcs%2Fstores%2Fservlet%2FArgosCreateReferral%3FstoreId%3D10001%26langId%3D-1%26referrer%3DCOJUN%26params%3Dadref%253DOffice%2C+PC+and+phones-%3EPDA%26%2339%3Bs%2C+organisers%2C+calculators-%3EElectronic+organisers%26referredURL%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fwebapp%2Fwcs%2Fstores%2Fservlet%2FProductDisplay%253FstoreId%253D10001%2526catalogId%253D2501%2526productId%253D112851%2526langId%253D-1&langId=-1&referrer=COJUN&AID=10294381&storeId=10001
oops bit of a long link (hope it works). I am going to try and find out if they will accept 'C15' and 'ORG' on the same £99 + vat order. If they will I think it is a good deal. Their phone lines do not open until Monday at 8.30am. Will report back.
PS looking through their catalogue they sell loads of stuff eg batteries, toasters, kettles, tools, cleaning products as well as their stock in trade lighting products (most prices are competitive).0 -
Sorry previous link seems to have been cut short. If you click on the link this will get you into the argos product search page, if you then cut and paste ZQ-P20H this will eventually get you to the required page. Can anyone else help with correcting this link, sorry not very technically minded?
Have also spotted another code 'Heater 2' which is for a 2kw heater worth £19. I think you can use this only when ordering through the catalogue entitled 'October Offers'. You can get a catalogue by ringing their freephone number 0800525980 open 8.30 - 6pm Mon - Fri.
Also rereading literature on the 'ORG' code I think this is for web orders only. Web prices are slightly cheaper than catalogue prices though!
So I would have thought that if they allow combining of codes then this would be for C15 and ORG or C15 and Heater 2 depending on your ordering method?
Not sure but there must be a way of maximising the savings on this one. Will attempt to investigate.0 -
Lyco have confirmed to me that they won't mix and match discount codes. ie only 1 per order. Ah well worth a try. :-[0
