Credit building?

Options
Hey guys,

I've recently thought it's time I'd start building up a good credit history, you know, just in case.

I've so far applied to my bank and an online loan company with no luck!.

About 4 years ago I had a problem with payday loans, they got out of control and defaulted a few times, they've been paid of in full and have no debts to my name!.

Now I imagine this is what's holding me back although, I have put all my history into experian and seem to come out with a 999 score, all the information is correct and it had gathered my loan history itself (all of it correct).

Now even though I don't need the loan (solely credit building) was wondering if this is what is stopping me getting one, if so what is the best way to slowly build my trust rating up again?.

Thanks guys!.

Whatever you do, don't get a loan. No need to pay to build a credit history.

Try a sub prime credit card, such as aqua or Vanquis. If they reject yoy, you may need to wait for some of the defaults to fall off your history.

The defaults remain on your file for 6 years, satisfied or not.
