Hi everyone.
First post so please be gentle. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was anywhere I could get free backing tracks or instrumental tracks?
Thanks.

try Vanbasco.com for midi files. Download the karaoke machine it's great, you can change the keys of backing tracks without it speeding up or slowing down. You can also dump the track into Sibelius ( if you have it) and print of the music. It's a fab resource. I use it in school and the kids love it.
  • I heard a guy on the radio from this non profit organisation in Doncaster, maybe they can help or have some useful info

Thanks Guys! I shall check them out now!

    Much appreciated.:T
  • Hey! I don't know about free backing tracks- but there is a free piece of software that can be used to take vocals off songs- called: Wavosaur
I use it frequently, and it's great!
The only problem is that it can sometimes remove the basslines as well (but that's not a big deal!- Even less so if you can play bass and re-record them)

    Good Luck!

This is handy to know! There is a local Working Mans Club were I live and there is an act that comes in, and sings Fields Of Athernry, but as he has no backing music to this song he tends to go out of tune! Now I can point him in the direction of this link! Thanks megamouth

Just trying this out now, and it works a treat! Bono has been officially removed as U2`s lead singer!
