    No it's £120 k each to buy the property we want . Financial advisor also said that I wouldn't get mortgage for this amount based on my earnings and the amount outstanding (£110k) on that house



    Right, so you have seen a financial advisor and they have ruled it out.


    Assuming they know what they are doing then that's that then.


    You will need to look at smaller properties that you can afford or just wait until something happens to get you off that mortgage.

    Who currently lives in the property? Your mum? Could you move in with her since you are named on the deeds? That might help expedite the sale of the property.
  • Yes she lives it the property and my name is on the deeds . Unfortunately due to work and distance it's not possible to live there

    If the property is sold, where will your mother live? Could that be why she is dragging her heels over the sale?
