Barclays mortgage

We have a barclays mortgage which is a flexible tracker paying .17% above the base rate. We are currently overpaying by approx £200 per month and although it is a mortgage with daily interest calculated does this still mean that the extra repayments are coming off the amount borrowed when they are paid? Does anyone else have a similar mortgage who could advise me? I have looked on their website but it is not in the faq's. Thanks in advance for any info.

If you have a mortgage bought at Barclays but is Woolwich branded and are on daily rest, then the overpayments reduce the balance immediately and therefore the interest being charged immediately.
