How to choose a coconut.

I would like a tender one not like the woody one I have at the moment.

I don't mean the big green ones you drink from but the brown hairy sort

    Shake them and choose one with plenty of liquid inside.

    I also go for the hairiest one I can find as well. Not sure that actually makes any difference though!

    Hi Campden,

    I do the same as withabix and choose one with lots of milk inside. I did a quick search on google and there are some tips on buying coconuts here.
