Holiday Pay from ex employer

Hi Guys
in Feb of this year i left my employment after nearly 10 years of working there. I worked part time (3 1/2 days) holiday entitlement was 16 days (which included bank holidays)


i did everything right & handed my notice in and was more than happy to work the following week as normal & finsh on the 28th feb.. My employer then rung me on the monday & put me on gardening leave saying that i was not allowed anywhere near the shop etc & that all monies would be forwarded to me, this i didnt agree with so met him at the shop & he paid me my weeks wage..

The whole time i was there i didnt take all my holidays & most of the time id work the beginning of the week (monday tuesday) and then have weds thurs fri sat off which works out at only ever having 2 1/2 days off for each week i had as holiday ( i always had my birthday week off & a some time in august) It did sometimes increase so overall for each year i worked there i was probably only using 6 days of my holiday entitlement
My question is
Am i entitled to make a claim from my ex employer for not taking all my holiday entitlement & if so is there a time limit of how far back you can claim etc....

Any advice would be much appriciated

    when does the holiday year run to and from?

    you have most likely lost any previous years missed holiday but may have a chance for this years if you havent taken more than you would have accrued for this year
    The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 5

    you need to clarify as your post say your contract was 3.5 days but normally only worked Mon, Tue.

    hi there sorry for being so vague
    my working days and hours were as follows

    Monday, thurs & Fridays 9.30-6.00pm
    Sat 9.00-1.00pm
    days off were tues & weds

    When i booked a weeks holiday for example i was asked to work the beginning of the week so would do monday & tuesday, i would then have the rest of the week off from weds, so only used 1 1/2 days in theory as 2 of them were my days off..

    I was never issued with a contract of employment or employees handbook

    Op, you say you get 16 days holiday, working 3.5 days you should be getting 19.6 days.
