So who would get on plane flow entirely by robots/computers.
I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with that myself.
I would be once it is proven, but that means some other passengers have to prove it :-)

Have you been on an Airbus? The pilot asks the computer and the computer tells the plane how to fly. Once people make the mental leap, then passenger drones are inevitable - unmanned planes currently log thousands of hours quite safely...

There's an aviation joke that planes of the future will be flown by a pilot and a dog - the dog's job is to stop anyone from touching the controls, the pilot's job is to feed the dog.

The way I heard it is that the pilot feeds the dog and the dog bites the pilot if she tries to fly the plane.

The plane situation is misunderstood too.

It doesn't take any more space to have 3 or 5 computer pilots compared to 1.

If one of the 3/5 disagrees on a course of action the other computers can have a meeting about it.

Another plus is that for an extra 10 bucks, RyanAir will let you the passenger sit in the now vacant captain's seat (wearing the cap is an extra 10 bucks).
